My Favorite Nashville Desserts
Being a Nashville Native with a sugar tooth means I have tried it all and lucky for you I am sharing my all time favorite places! Over the years as Nashville has grown, so have the many many food options so you are in for a real treat!
Five Daughter’s Bakery — this adorable family owned bakery is serving up one of Nashville’s best desserts, the Cronut! Yes a croissant and doughnut in one, that takes up to three days to make! This melt in your mouth perfection is so so good!! My favorite is the Maple Glaze. They also offer gluten free donuts! There are multiple locations across the city, I recommend the 12 south one!
HiFi Cookies — another locally owned bakery serving up only cookies, but trust me these cookies are GOOD. You can create your own “Mix Tape” aka Cookie box even complete with a name on the box! You cannot go wrong here, my favorite is the Marvin cookie— pretzel & potato chip cookie dough loaded with mini chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and toffee. They also offer vegan and gluten free options.
Baked on 8th — a more traditional bakery serving up cakes by the slice or whole, adorable iced cookies, brownies, scones, pop tarts, muffins, rice crispy treats, cinnamon rolls, you name they probably bake it! You can custom order for your next event and everyone will be wowed! They do not have a set menu, and their offerings can change daily. Be sure to catch their mural on the side of the building when stopping in.
Pink Door Cookies — my most recent discovery on this recommendation list, Pink Door Cookies is just what it sounds like, a pink door (rather window) serving delicious hand made cookies by premier pastry chef and Chopped champion! I tried an assortment as they all sounded so good, my favorite was the s’mores complete with toasted marshmallow center.
The Cupcake Collection — serving up delicious home made cupcakes, they are known for their Sweet Potato cupcake!! You will find a warm welcome into the the bakery in Nashville and New Orleans— the owners home town. My go to here is the strawberry cupcake!
Greenery + Co. — so hear me out, yes this is a salad place but they serve up one of the BEST chocolate chip cookies in the city in my opinion! I love supporting this local store, owned by 2 sisters! The cookies are incredible, served warm and leave you wanting for more. They only offer a triple chocolate chip cookie, but that is ok because this cookie is SOOO GOOD they don’t need any other options.
Triple Crown Bakery — located in Downtown Franklin, this bakery offers scratch made cakes, cookies, desserts and breakfast pastries. Although one of my favorite things they offer is the Tea Service, a tray with a proper tea cup, teapot filled with the tea of your choice, cream, sugar, timer and a butter cookie. They offer coffee and hot chocolate service too!
