12 Days of Christmas— Nashville Edition

I’m so excited to bring to you my 12 Days of Christmas Guide for Nashville! This will include 12 days worth of some of my favorite places in Nashville, TN that are spreading Holiday cheer!

Day 1: Santa’s Trees - For my first stop you need to make sure you pick out the best tree! How fun is it to pick out a Christmas tree in the snow ❄️ there are several Christmas tree farms around the Nashville area including this one in 12 South and one in Cool Springs 🎄be sure to stop by to grab a real Christmas tree, wreath or garland— and for a cute picture! Check them out on Facebook or visit their website for Holiday schedules.

Day 2: Downtown Franklin— Gray’s on Main - If you have never strolled the streets of downtown Franklin, especially in winter you’re missing out on the magic! I specifically love @graysfranklin and @tincottage window displays! There is plenty to eat, drink and shop in the area!! Check out Grays on Main’s website here!

Downtown Franklin also offers several Christmas events including:

  • A Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square December 3rd 6-8:30pm

    • A spectacular event featuring entertainment by local school children; musicians, performers; and Santa Claus.

  • Christmas Parade December 4th

    • Winding through the streets of Historic Downtown Franklin, the parade is a community celebration of the traditions of the Christmas season.

  • Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt December 10th

    • The grounds are sprinkled with candy canes ready to be eaten...grab your flashlight and help us hunt for the holiday treats!

  • Dickens of a Christmas December 11-12th

    • This festival will recreate the time of Charles Dickens using historic downtown Franklin’s Victorian architecture as the backdrop. Some 200 musicians, dancers and characters will fill the streets, including several from Charles Dickens’ stories

Day 3: Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center - The 3rd day of Christmas was spent at a Country Christmas at Opryland! If you haven’t been to Opryland you could get lost here for hours! We wandered through the many Christmas decorations and checked out the Christmas lights outside! They also offer gingerbread cookie decorating, carriage rides, reindeer meet and greet and much more!! You can dress it up or casual, but it makes for a fun Christmas adventure 🎄🎅🏼❄️🥳 Click here to learn more about the details of this event!

Day 4: High Tea— Hermitage Hotel - We spent the 4th day of Christmas at High Tea at the Hermitage Hotel! Every Thursday-Sunday of December at 2pm the @hermitagehotel offers a Nutcracker themed high tea! This was spectacular!!!! From the hotel decor to the tea— everything was more than what we could could have imagined; even complete with a nutcracker ornament when you leave 🥰 For more details and to make a reservation click here!

Day 5: Loveless Cafe! Loveless Cafe is the 5th Nashville destination for all things biscuits and breakfast! The cafe is extra cute during Christmas— be sure to check out their Christmas decor 🎄This iconic spot was opened in 1951 to serve biscuits and fried chicken to travelers on HWY 100! This became so popular they opened a bed and breakfast 🍳 the hotel has since closed but every year more than half a million visitors flock to @lovelesscafe for great food severed in the historic cafe🥓 Click here to visit their website.

Day 6: Ice Skating at Opryland - Opryland offers many additional activities such as ice skating!!! This rink is available from 3pm to close and is surrounded by adorable decor and TONS of Christmas lights ❄️ out here you can go snow tubing, ice bumper cars, meet real reindeer and tour the I Love Christmas Movies exhibit!! Click here for more information + tickets.

Day 7: Whoville Bar at the Dream Hotel - We went to the Whoville Bar located within the Dream Hotel. The Parlour bar was transformed into this Christmas classic pop up as 2020 has been a mean one (Mr. Grinch). Be sure to get there soon as this one won’t last! Click here to check out the Dream Hotel in Nashville.

Day 8: Headquarters Beercade Nashville— Reigndeer Games - This immersive holiday pop-up bar will have you feeling ALL the Christmas spirit for the 8th day of Christmas!! Located just off Broadway, @hq_nashville is an experiential winter wonderland, including 3D Christmas tree displays, thousands of ornaments, 2,000 feet of twinkling lights, a life-size Santa’s sleigh, and festive food and cocktails as well as plenty of games to play!! Day 9: The Lodge - On the 9th day of Christmas we went to the Lodge— a ski chalet inspired pop up bar at the Virgin Hotel! Pop up Christmas bars are becoming my favorite places to visit! This one located on the 14th floor rooftop gives the après ski vibe with specials on Snow Day Saturdays and Breckenridge Brunch on Sundays!! Be sure to check this out before they close for the season on Feb 1st! You can even rent a fireside cabin with your friends, click here for reservations.
